At Goring Church of England Primary School our curriculum is rooted in our vision: We are all part of God’s vine and are rooted in His rich soil. We are nurtured and supported so that we may grow and spread out into the world to love and to serve.
It is our desire for our pupils to make a positive contribution to their community and wider society that has shaped and formed our curriculum. It is planned with the aim of promoting learning and personal development for all children. Our curriculum has been designed to ensure that it provides opportunities for children to develop as independent, resilient and confident learners who have high aspirations and achieve personal academic success.
Our intention is to challenge all of our children to achieve their best. We do this by providing them with an exciting and inspiring personalised curriculum that is child centric. At Goring Church of England Primary School we aim to sequence all learning in order that new knowledge and skills are based on previous understanding. We appreciate that children progress and learn at different rates, curriculum planning is therefore designed to recognise this and to cater for each child’s specific needs.
At our school the curriculum is designed to ensure that essential knowledge and skills are developed to their maximum potential. Our aim is not just to cover curriculum content but to allow all of our children to apply the skills they have learned across a broad contextual span.
